SMART HOSPITALITY GREECE 2025–2027
The SMART HOSPITALITY GREECE 2025–2027 project is a national private initiative by Destination-Management.co, aimed at training and empowering professionals and employees in the Greek tourism sector. Its vision is to create a smarter and more sustainable tourism model that blends human-centered hospitality with technological innovation and sustainable development.
The main objectives of the program are to enhance professional skills, introduce new technologies (AI, robotics), promote green practices, and establish a unified culture of professionalism and service excellence. The project aspires to position Greece as an international model of a Smart & Sustainable Tourism Destination.
The training program is structured around five key thematic pillars:
- Human Hospitality & Customer Service
- Digital and AI Skills in Tourism
- Sustainable & Green Operations
- Destination Promotion & Branding
- Innovation & Customer Experience
The implementation will take place in three phases (pilot application, nationwide rollout, digital platform and final conference), with a total budget of €1.2 million. Collaborations with institutional bodies (Ministry of Tourism, GNTO, Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, Regional and Local Authorities) will ensure the project’s reach and long-term sustainability.
The program includes two-day seminars (14–15 hours) for groups of 30–50 participants, combining experiential learning, innovation workshops, AI tool applications, and sustainability practices. It encourages teamwork, hands-on evaluation, and adaptation to local specificities.
Expected outcomes include the training of over 10,000 tourism professionals, the creation of a network of Smart Hospitality Ambassadors, the dissemination of best practices in sustainable hospitality, and the enhancement of Greece’s global competitiveness.
Overall, SMART HOSPITALITY GREECE aspires to become a landmark initiative for the digital and sustainable transformation of Greek tourism—centered on people, technology, and the environment.
The program is the intellectual property of Destination-Management.co and is delivered through both theoretical and practical modules.
